The World on Fire

Finding peace, joy, and life in the world around me

One thing I cannot help, nor do I think I'd want to change it if I could, is the way I view landscape art.  I appreciate literalism.  I appreciate the skill and discipline it requires to create hyper-realistic representations of mountains and lakes, however, the style does not appeal to me.  For me, the painting has to add something to reality, not merely mimic it.  This is why, generally speaking, my landscapes or nature paintings are a little overly saturated, the sunsets, just a little beyond belief.  I always want to add an element of marvel and wonder to the work I do.  So without further ado, here we go.

The World on Fire

Nature and landscape paintings, presented without commentary, as my pieces of this nature are generally not made to convey messages, but to inspire feelings in which we can lose ourselves when desired.
